6.      How did atheism start?

Atheism is not a religion, it is the lack of one, it is as old as religions and as old as the idea of a god presented to humans, we can't really specify when did it start but it is not new as some people might think.

7.      What do atheists do?

This questions, although I hear it alot, but it makes me think that theists look at us as we are aliens or weird people, what do you mean "what do atheists do?"?

Atheists are like Theists, we like to live, enjoy, help people to have a better life, we have dreams and hope.

The only difference between us (Atheists) and you (Theists) is that we do not share the same beliefs, concepts and reason, for an emaple:

If someone got shot in the streets while you are walking by, the person who shot him did flee, certainly you are going to call 911.

The difference here is why you did that? Theists tend to do this cause God, Jesus, Allah or Mickey Mouse told them to help people "in some religions, only people who have the same beliefs", but as an atheist, I would do that cause I consider all lives are sacred "If I can use that word" not because some imaginary friend told me so.

8.      What is the meaning of life?

This is the question all of Theists ask you "specially Muslims" thinking that as long as you don't have an answer for that question then it is a prove you are wrong, but seriously let's look at it from a different point of view.

Why would I want an imaginary friend to set a meaning for my life? Why can't I have my own meaning and purpose in this life? Most of religions say that the purpose is to reproduct the human race!!

Seriously, and what does reproduction of the human race help god by any way possible?

In my point of view, we do not need a meaning of life, However, as an atheists, I consider all "well aside from terrorists and murderers" lives are sacred "again, if I can use that word"Atheists know that we only get one chance at life. This is it. This is all you get. No reincarnation, no heaven or hell, no second chances. You only get one go, and to mess it up or waste it is the most terrible thing.
Make the most of your brief span of awareness. Educate yourself so that you can see the wonders of the universe for what they are, without the fog of religious belief. Swim in the Indian Ocean. Watch the sunset at Uluru (Ayer's Rock). Tickle a baby. Climb a tree. Learn to unicyle. Massage your partner. Take up pottery.

Gain pleasure from making other peoples' lives better. Some people live in appalling conditions, earning in a week what you might earn in one hour (if that). Support an orphanage.
Some theists seem to have this bizarre notion that atheists are sad, dreary, selfish people who only ever consider themselves, have no concern for anyone else and mope around all day wondering how they can get to Heaven without having to believe in Jesus and be nice to people. (Funny just how wrong some people can be, isn't it?)
I am often asked "Why bother? If life is a meaningless accident, with no ultimate goal or purpose, why not just kill yourself now? Why not even go on a killing spree and end the worthless lives of everybody else? What stops you ending it all?" To which I would reply - "Have you ever built a snowman?" After all, snowmen are ephemeral objects, soon to be melted in the sun. A snowman has no ultimate purpose or goal, and in a few weeks there will be no trace of it's ever existing. We build snowmen because all of us, theists and atheists, live here and now. In the context of our own brief mortal lives, we are able to enjoy this life and gain pleasure from ultimately pointless acts. It is fun to build a snowman, or climb a mountain, or watch the sunset, or go for a long cycle ride in the countryside. The purpose of these things is not "out there" somewhere, waiting to be achieved - the meaning is in what it means to ourselves. I am not overly concerned about some future fifty billion years from now, but I am concerned about the future of humanity here, now and for the generations that follow. That is the context of a mortal life, and that is why I "bother" to live and damn well have fun while I'm doing it.
There is no meaning to life itself. There is no purpose to the universe. You can, however, give life meaning through your actions. Make the world a better place for yourself, your contemporaries and your descendents.

what should we be more scared of, Swine Flu or Ramadan in middle east?

I know I should be writing about Sayed Al Qimni and then post the third part of the truth about atheism article, but I couldn't cause of a killing surprise stated below


"155 people arrested in Egypt for not fasting in Ramadan" said Al Dostor Newspaper
"The Arrest of 6 people in Morocco for eating before the sunset as to show their rejection upon the not fasting punishment law"

Those were 2 topics I've recently read about what's going on in the middle east, never the less what happens in Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

Before, we atheists were afraid for our lives in these countries, both residents and foreigners who go there or live there, but now it has taken a different course, both us and Muslims are scared, they arresting of not fasting people is a total crime against humanity and freedom, it is a shame we all should feel.

155 people arrested in Egypt, coffee shops got warnings to close during the day time until sunset, when did religion sneak behind our backs and became the law? how could we let this happen? did religion suffused into the police forces? are we now experiencing what happened before in the middle ages? I say, "YES".

Freedom of speech, Freedom of express, Freedom of belief. We keep screaming those words all the time but who ever took a grib and stood up to those who stealing those rights from us? are we scared? are we cowards? Absolutely not.

Zineb Elghzaoui, journalist and a founder of MALI along with Ibtissam Lachgar, a psychologist have launched an appeal through Facebook network to protest against the law of punishing who ever breaks the fasting rules of Ramadan in Morocco, and as she stated and I quote, "We have called a lot of people because we were surprised by the heavy police presence that we encountered", while Ibtissam Lachgar has said, "We had to show our backpacks and when they saw we had food, they [police] forced us to return to Casablanca on the next train" .
Is that what their Islam tell them to do? to arrest, torture and kill people? Everyone knows that I am not against Islam or any other religion, I'm only against the deeds people do in the name of religion, Ms. Ghzaoui and Lachgar wanted to express their right of freedom, and as well their right to protest against the law, but yet again, Islamic governments do not allow this, they prefer to kill and torture than to accept other opinions.
In Europe, it was stated at the newspaper under headlines like "100 policemen against 10 sandwiches in Morocco". Don't you think that this is something we should be ashamed of? And I'm not saying this to Arabs and mid east people, I'm also saying this to Europeans and everyone who thinks that freedom and humanity value even a little thing.
 

And what about Egypt? 155 arrest cases? What more do we need to wake up from this doomed ignorance and cowardliness to stand up for our rights and freedom?.

what about KSA? UAE? Syria? Kuwait?

It is the swine flu that has been infecting us, this is the real pandemic.

The Truth About Atheism Part Two "Atheism and Ethics, Religions, God"

3. Are atheists unethical?

For sure you have heard this more than hundred times, 99.9% of theists believe that the only way to be ethical is to have a punishment that appears in their "Heaven and Hell" beliefs.
 
They believe that without religion, there wouldn't be any ethical nor moral systems for people, although people are the ones who made ethics, on the other hand most of the religions talk about ethics and morality as the most important thing to walk by although those religions are created by humans, and I'm not the only one who says that, but every theist or in other words religious person believes that his religion is the only righteous religion that has been created by his god, and other religions are fake made by humans, but they all almost have the same ethics, doesn't that tell you something?

So the big question is, "Does atheists follow ethics and morality?". The answer is a resounding “Yes!” From Aristotle and Marcus Aurelius to Einstein and Bertrand Russell, pagans as well as nonbelievers have produced moral systems that compare favorably with the best that modern religions have to offer. In fact, rational ethical systems are often preferable to traditional religions, most of which contain arbitrary or contradictory precepts, some of them blatantly immoral.

Christians may point with pride to the Ten Commandments, for example, but the Bible also includes embarrassments such as its endorsement of slavery or the absurd and brutal punishments prescribed in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Muslims call Islam a “religion of peace” in spite of frequent references to jihad or “holy war” in the Koran.

Finding flaws in doctrinal religion is easy and tempting too, if you’ve been condemned as a sociopath, because you reject superstition, or threatened with the fires of perdition, because you won’t genuflect to imaginary deities. However, this kind of fault-finding doesn’t help to create consensus about effective morality, which is – or should be – one of our primary goals in human society, whether we’re atheist or faithful.


4. Why atheists do not believe in God?

There are many reasons not to believe in the existence of god, but before I list some of them, I would like to state a very important message to all theists, it isn't our mission to prove the none existence of god, it is your mission to prove that a god exists, we are tired of being asked to prove there is no god, and I have pointed it in the first part of this article saying "We cannot prove that there is no God, because you can't prove the non existence of something that doesn't exist, or proving something illogical by logic, like saying "prove to me that there is no elephant in that cup", you can't prove that cause obviously the person who is asking for a prove is totally insane."
 
Now for the reasons why we do not believe in a god or a deity, here I list some and not all

1. Lack of evidence : -
 
Many people are atheists because they think there is no evidence for God's existence - or at least no reliable evidence. They argue that a person should only believe in things for which they have good evidence.
 
A philosopher might say that they start from the presumption of Atheism. They say that there is as much evidence for the existence of God (any particular god at all) as there is for the existence of unicorns.
 
And although they might be more polite about it, someone who follows a particular faith may have the same sort of opinion about the existence of the gods of other faiths.
 
Mostly, believers accept the idea of god without asking for any good evidence, mostly cause that's what they know, they know nothing else, most of people are born into a religious society who believes in god and discriminate who ever say otherwise like Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc.
 
They are afraid as they feel there is no hope if there isn't any god, they are born afraid he might smite them, and how many people did any god smite that we know of? "except of course in the holy books'

2. God is unnecessary :-
 
Atheists argue that because everything in the universe can be explained in a satisfactory way without using God as part of the explanation, then there is no point in saying that God exists.
 
The argument is based on a philosophical idea called Occam's Razor, popularised by William of Occam in the 14th century.
In Latin it goes Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitateor in English... "Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily".
This is usually simplified to say that the simplest answer is the best answer.
 
So, says the atheist, since the entire universe, and all of creation can be explained by evolution and scientific cosmology, we don't need the existence of another entity called God.
 
Therefore God doesn't exist.
 
Does this prove God doesn't exist? No it doesn't. It merely proves that the assumption that God exists isn't needed, and so can be abandoned.
 
If was alive now, William of Occam would not have agreed; he was a Franciscan monk who never doubted the existence of God.
 
But in his century he wasn't breaking the rule named after him. 
14th century science knew nothing about evolution or how the universe came into being. God was the only explanation available, and thus very necessary.
 
What William would think if he lived now is another matter...

3. God is meaningless :-
 
Some philosophers think that religious language doesn't mean anything at all, and therefore that there's no point in asking whether God exists.
 
They would say that a sentence like "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" is neither true or false, it's meaningless; in the same way that "colourless green ideas sleep furiously" is meaningless.
 
Logical Positivists argued that a sentence was meaningless if it wasn't either true or false, and they said that a sentence would only be true or false if
 
If it could be tested by an experiment,
 
OR
 
If it was true by definition

Since you couldn't verify the existence of God by any sort of "sense experience", and it wasn't true by definition (eg in the way "a triangle has 3 sides" is true), the logical positivists argued that it was pointless asking the question since it could not be answered true or false.
 
These particular philosophers didn't only say that religious talk was meaningless, they thought that much of philosophical discussion, metaphysics for example, was meaningless too. This philosophical theory is no longer popular, and attention has returned to the issues of what "God" means and whether "God" exists.

There are many other reasons like, the problem of Evil, that science explains mostly everything, and for those who think that the fact science can't explain everything does prove the existence of god, and then start explaining what isn't explained by godly or supernatural powers, I'd say people like you in the early ages thought that thunder is a punishment of god... and that's all I have to say.

5. Are atheists against religions?

Absolutely a big NO!, Atheists aren't against any kind of believe, we just disagree with the fact of being discriminated by religions, and some actions of religious people, for an example, how many wars started in the name of a religion or another? How many children, women, and old people have died cause of religious wars?.

We are not against religions, but we do think some religions are bad, and others have their goods and bads, for an example:


The bad

* Religion gets people to believe something untrue. 

* Religion makes people base the way they run their lives on a falsehood.
 
* Religion stops people thinking in a rational and objective way.
 
* Religion forces people to rely on outside authority, rather than becoming self-reliant.
 
* Religion imposes irrational rules of good and bad behaviour.
 
* Religion divides people, and is a cause of conflict and war.
 
* The hierarchical structure of most religions is anti-democratic, and thus offends basic human rights.
 
* Religion doesn't give equal treatment to women and gay people, and thus offends basic human rights.
 
* Religion obstructs scientific research.
 
* Religion wastes time and money.
 
The good
 
Most atheists willingly concede there are some good things about religion, such as:
 
* Religious art and music
 
* Religious charities and good works
 
* Much religious wisdom and scripture
 
* Human fellowship and togetherness

So we are not against religions, we disagree with it, but we are not trying to make other people atheists, we just want our space to work, develop, do researches and take our course in the evolution.

And yet again I will have to apologize to all of you for not continuing any further, you will have to wait for the third part of this article, hopefully in a couple of days I will be answering the questions about the start of atheism, what do atheists do? and the meaning of life.

My Yesterday "The Night She Died" Part One


wierd you were my yesterday
i thought i can forget you oneday
although it's been years since you passed away
but it's for me still like yesterday

i was their holding her hand
talking and laughing, walking on the land
it was a good memory for my mind to stay
but fate had another opinion to display

passing the street we were aiming
but death with his wings started to slaughter
down on the ground she was laying
covered in blood she returned to the father

after all this years of tears and sorrows
and my heart killed by saints with arrows
the night she died was for me the last day
so weird you were my yesterday

Today, The Memorial "The night she died" Part Two

I woke up with tears are falling
On my face, shining like pearl
And broken body calling
For one moment with the girl

Can’t believe she is a memory
After what have death done
